New Pantographs added
Friday, July 30, 2010 at 5:47AM I’ve added eleven new pantos to my collection, they’ll be the ones at the bottom of the gallery, go check them out and see if there’s anything you like!
Whirlygig I already have, but this is a small version of a very cool pattern. A couple of them are Christmas themed, but my favorite in this latest batch is “Sweetness” by Beany Girl Design, it’s adorable!
I spent yesterday taping on my new leaders (you might recall I managed to ruin mine), then pinning them together, running a straight stitch down each to square them up, followed by a good pressing along the stitch line, and finally, sewing on the zippers.
That was really a chore and I hope not to have to do it again for a long time!
But it’s done. I hope to have time later on today to load up a test sandwich and
make sure all is well. It looks okay, but I’ve been known to think that before!
Tonight I think I’m going to make pork and apple curry. Not sure why that sounds good, it’s probably going to be 150 degrees today and something light will probably sound a whole lot better by dinnertime!
You can find my recipe for it here, at the bottom of the page.

Zipper huh????? Gads, there are so many options! but I have taken to heart your warning about washing my leaders... talk about shrinkage!..
I here by vow not to wash my leaders for fear of suffering the same fate as poor CJ!
maddie
Do you like your iron? :)
Not much Pam. It shuts off WAY too early, and doesn't want to put out steam unless I push the steam burst button.
I'm going to be needing new leaders sometime soon.....
I was wondering though..... with the zippers..... how do you actually attach your quilt tops/backing to the leaders? Do you just pin it or sew the quilt top/backing to the leaders then zip the leaders together? Just wondering how you do it, might be easier than how I do it.
