More border options

I think I’ve settled on these for my borders on Jim’s quilt, but I would love to hear opinions.  The piano keys alone just weren’t working for me, black and ivory alone were too stark, but I think this sets it off nicely.  I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions on my earlier post.

The quilt ends up at 76 inches by 90 inches.

The third week of September, Pope County holds it’s annual fair, which we’ve never been to.  Jim would like me to make another embroidered monkey quilt and enter it.

I’m very seriously considering it, but if I do, this one will be in blues and greens and a “pirate/island” theme.  I loved the first one I did for a friend, but I have more monkey designs and would like to try something different.

I may sell it afterwards.  Or perhaps I’ll find it a home. Or maybe I won’t make it.  But I think I might. :)

The addition of the border around the piano keys looks great! I've always loved your Monkey Quilt! It's so adorable! I'm not a make-a-second one of anything type. It's like- been there- did that, now I'm done. But, maybe with some different fabrics it could be a fun project to repeat.

Love the way Him's quilt is looking. I say "go for it" and make the monkey quilt to enter in the fair.

Love your plan for Jim's quilt. And it will be plenty big for him to snuggle up under.

Ugh, house cleaning day here. All the girls from the shop are coming over on Saturday for an all-day sew-in. Should be fun. Wanna come? :-)

I love, love, love your monkey quilt. Where did you get the embroidery designs? I'd love to attempt one!
