Quilts and food... just doesn't get any better!

I managed to sleep a whole three and a half hours last night, ugh!  When I can’t sleep, I cook.  I like cooking in the wee hours, I just have to be choosy about what tools I use, as I don’t want to make a racket and wake Jim up.

By six o’clock this morning, I had a cheesecake made (but not the blackberry sauce yet), blackberry muffins, and some rolls.  If you’re wondering what the white thing is off to the right, that’s my twenty something year old Champion Juicer.

Anyway, I am going to juice the rest of the blackberries today. I didn’t have room in the fridge for all of those!  So I’ll juice them, then can the juice.  Nice and easy, because I’m way too tired for anything else.

Some pictures from last nights quilt group, enjoy!

Does anyone remember me talking about the amazing art quilt will the life sized lion applique one of the girls brought in last month?  She brought it again… it’s so fabulous, and YES I took pictures, but I can’t share them!

It’s going to be entered into a competition, so no photos.

How I love photos of others' creations. Thanks so much for sharing CJ. I have never done a scallop edge on a quilt, I wonder how the binding looked up close, did you see it? I think it would be awesome to do one - one day when I have more confidence.

Not to worry, I do cheesecake without sauce. LOL

thanks for posting the photos - I love looking at all the quilts and sorry I couldn't make it last night. Here I am checking computer stuff while I wait for Mike to finish up a few things he is doing before we take off.
Yum for the food - sorry you can't sleep well though.

Thanks for sharing all those quilts. I wish I could belong to a guild but all the guilds in my area have meetings during the week in the morning. I'm pretty sure my boss would veto that suggestion. LOL!

I'm the one that so wanted to see that quilt. Did she say what competition she was entering it in? And do you know if she is from the New Blaine area or is she from Russellville? We had some animal quilts entered in a small quilt show in Paris a couple of years ago and I was wondering if it was the same person making them.

Estrogen replacement therapy......or sleep aid pills from Costco.
Just a thought....
Love your food and quilts!

Half a Tylenol Night-Ttime works wonders. A whole one makes me groggy. Too much exercise can make you not sleep as well as it releases too much adrenalin resulting in sleepless nights and you have been super busy lately. ---Love the quilt pictures! What wonderful projects. Is this a guild or mini group of quilters? Love seeing all the food too! Looks yummy!

Beautiful quilts. I am drawn to the cream or yellow with the 4 central large designs. Would love to have that in my house.
At least you are productive in those wee hours. Do you get sleepy in the afternoon?

CJ, I have two questions:

What is the design or pattern for the first quilt in the second row, and

What meat slicer do you have? Quilting and cooking questions!

HAPPY 4TH.
