Design "floor" Monday

I don’t care for these colors as much as the first rendition in blue, brown and green, but it will look better when the border is on.
But the purpose of this one was to redraft the blocks, so that they didn’t consist of anymore patches than necessary. The white snowball centers are now one piece, instead of eight patches.
Jim has announced he needs a baby quilt for yet another coworker, due anytime now, so let’s hope it’s going to be a girl! If so, this one will already have a home.
That’s what is on my design wall for this week, you might want to head on over to Judy’s and see what everyone else is up to this week! I’m going to start on the border today (I think anyway)!
Jim and I watched “It’s Complicated” last night, if you haven’t seen it, it’s a must! Totally hilarious, and I’m not really much into comedies.

That is a very nice quilt. I am pulling for ya, I hope it is a girl too for the office coworker... then you can work on more goodies.
Isn't it wierd how different fabrics can make the same quilt pattern appear so totally different? This one has more of an appearance of "squares" than your first one did.
The white blocks look so different in one piece. (good) Will keep positive thoughts for a girl. Lucky her.
Love the brochure. Someday I just might send you something to quilt if I ever get to making one!
I think the quilt would be great for a little girl!
I just saw that movie last weekend. I thought it was great too!!
I like it. And I'm glad someone else has to force themselves to redo something to make it easier! Sometimes I think I'm OCD, especially in my sewing room. :-)
It's another rainy day here, so I'm planning to spend the day in my sewing room and redraft my boxer pattern so the legs are longer for my oldest grandson (he wants them to his knees). Then hopefully I can get a pair or two made. The ones for the other two boys are done. Then it's back to quilting!
Very cute and probably now much less work! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the coworker's baby IS indeed a girl! :-) Polly
I really like this one...but I really liked the other one, too.
My daughter is having a girl in September, so if you need a place to send it....;)

At least your husband comes to you before the baby is born. Mine came to me to say one of his workers had TWINS. So as soon as I return from vacation I have a boy and a girl quilt to make. These quilts will have to be easy to make and quilt so they can be given before the kiddos are a year old.
