We All Sew
Monday, May 24, 2010 at 5:29PM Have you seen this website, ”We All Sew”, sponsored by Bernina? I received an email from them today, letting me know that my blog has been chosen to be the featured blog all next week in their “Favorite Blogs” section! Cool beans!
I decided I really needed a new “look” for the occasion!
If the black and white stripes are too much, holler and I’ll see what else I can come up with. The new logo was made with Electric Quilt 7 and Photoshop… Oh how I’ve missed using Photoshop!
I never bought the Mac version, but chose to use Photoshop Elements instead. Ugh. Not that I’m a graphic artist or anything, but I’ve used Photoshop forever, and there’s things I just can’t figure out how to do in Elements.

Thank you everyone for all the feedback! The stripes are out, you’ll have to let me know if the houndstooth background works or if it is still hard your eyes.

I don't mean to be critical.....but since you asked, I do find the black and white stripes rough on my eyes. Even if you decide to keep it, it will not stop me from reading your blog. I so enjoy reading about your life. Have a nice evening C.J.

Well I don't know I kind of liked the new look - but then red/black combo's always look great to me.

This grabs attention, but I like your other older website background design better. Seemed more soothing and somehow "fresher." Congrats on being featured next week.
Congrats on the blog to follow. But the houndstooth design is optically busy and distracting. How about something soft and blurry so not to distract from the blog. Otherwise, the houndstooth makes a moving design on the eyes.

I agree with Priscilla, I preferred the older version - nice and fresh. This is dull and distracting - sorry for being negative.
Houndstooth is still to distracting. Gives too much of an optical illusion!!

Whoa. Add another vote for the old design. The quilt block logo is fun though. Any way to incorporate the new logo into your old design?

I thought I was going crazy at first when I couldn't see any black/white stripes. LOL! Now I see that there were changes made due to eyeballs rotating in viewers' heads. ;)
Congratulations on the "We All Sew" pick. You definitely deserve it. I don't even have one of the fancy newer Bernina machines and I love reading what you write about yours. Love the new blog look too!
