OMG! EQ7 is here!

I have no idea why, but the UPS man just left, leaving me with a complimentary copy of EQ7, sent directly from Electric Quilt!

It’s not even supposed to be out until mid June!  Am I excited?  Heck yes!  A month early, and free?

I don’t know if a copy was sent to everyone who announced the release on their blogs? (Per EQ’s request, we were sent an email asking us to do so).

Or maybe because I was rather public about protesting the activation policy of EQ6?

All the included note says is, “Dear EQ Friend, It is with such pleasure that we send you this complimentary EQ7 to enjoy!  We have been thrilled to share the program withour friends and we hope that you will find creative and fun ways to use EQ7 and share with your community”.

That’s incredibly generous, and I’m incredibly honored! I was already ecstatic that they changed their activation license, it’s now completely fair and reasonable, and that’s all I ever wanted… a free upgrade is over the top!  Woohoo!

That's it I'm jealous. I'm an EQ lover from way back.

Maybe it is because you were vocal of what you disliked - I have seen it announced on quite a few blogs I wouldn't think all got a complimentary copy - it will be interesting to see if anyone else says they got it. I am dismal at computer programs if I do not use over and over again to learn so I never got into EQ - I have number 5 I believe and rarely used it.

I'm glad I re-read my post because I missed the L and it said "ucky you". Now, that wouldn't be nice. lol

Can't wait to hear all about it and see what you create.

Well, you're famous........and you know computers and software....and you have a great blog that can highlight features.......EQ is smart. Congrats!

As my father in law always said, "Free is better than wholesale."

Good move on their part. Marketing is far more productive than mircro managing / controlling.
