CJ, You're a genius! I was afraid to put anything in at that place. I even thought I could see a screw in there. Thank you! The video made it so clear.

That right there makes me want to rush out and buy an 830! What a fabulous feature! Nice video. :-)

Sadly I don't have an 830 with this feature. I do have a Bernina 153QE though and, as my eyes are getting .... well, older, I often need things to be a bit larger. So, I have a Magnistitch. Looks like it works just like this but you can mount it on any machine. You can also buy extra mounting feet so you can move the magnifying part to any other machine that you have put one of these feet on. It's pretty cool for we "senior" quilters!!!

I told my husband that I need new glasses. It is getting harder and harder to hit that spot where I can focus well close up. With contacts I need reading glasses. With my glasses, my bifocals aren't just right. So this summer I have to do something. A magnifying glass may do the trick.

Nice job on the video! I have a 640 and the bracket is built in! I have the lenses and use one occasionally! Polly

So this magnifier really works?? Hmm...maybe that would help me when I use the BSR--hard to tell where I've been because I like to use thread that matches closely. I was afraid it would just get in my way, but maybe not!

I've been thinking about getting a magnifier for my 730. I love how easy it installs on the 830...just one more reason to get an 830, as if I needed any more! Love the videos, you do a great job.

I'm catching up on blogs since I haven't been able to with guests staying with us.

I've had the magnifying lens since my first Bernina and love them.

But I like the connection for them on my 830 best because they move up so easily.

Forgot to say how much I'm enjoying the videos on your blog now, CJ.

Great video.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I was afraid to push that thing in any farther but the lens was not centered. You gave me the courage to push it harder! Only has 3/8 of an inch left outside and works perfectly now. You're a lifesaver!
