New toys!

I’m not sure which I’m more excited over… the new magnifying lens kit for my Bernina… besides the fact that I can now SEE the needle area while I’m sewing, the adaptor needed for both my Bernina 830 and my 630 are already built into the machines, so I can use all three lenses on both!

And now I finally have a design wall.  It’s not perfect, it’s certainly not very attractive, and I need to find a better spot for it, but at six foot square, it’s definitely workable, much better than using the floor.

It’s one of those Cheryl Ann Design walls, completely portable and comes with a little bag.  It was very easy to set up, but I will say it is a bit on the rickety side.

I found the coolest gadget I’m thinking I just have to have… anyone heard of a Pogo Plug?  It’s a totally cool way to back up your files, and be able to access them from anywhere!  Plus, it’s hot pink!

you got the design wall! yes it is not perfectly solid but better than using then using the floor. If you ever get wall space you could probably hang it on the wall instead. The magnifier is a cool gadget.

Cj,

Have you checked in to "Logmein" ? you can access your home puter and files from anywhere without the extra hardware. All you need is a laptop or cell phone. Just a thought!

CJ, I have a wall for quilts, but I found it helpful to make a "mini" wall out of foam core , then made a 'pillowcase' for it from flannel--I used it to take a part of the quilt to my machine, so that I wouldn't have to keep getting up & down.

I need one of those design walls. Can you put it up and down between uses? I love your pinwheel blocks -- they look good together like that, even without sashing. I gotta get going on block 6.
Always wondered about those magnifying pieces--the little thing that holds them gets in my way, but I do like that magnification. It would be good for my heirlooming stitches.

CJ, if you enjoy your magnifying lenses as much as I do mine, you'll love them! :)

OMG - I can't believe you've been working so long without the magnifier set. I just love mine! Couldn't do without it. I'm in the middle of a blanket stitch applique quilt - the magnifier set is indispensible for the close work. One of my most loved (among many) Bernina accessories.

CJ, I have the lenses but haven't figured out where to put the adapter. Could you post a picture of how you attached it. Thanks.
