Happy Birthday to me!
Monday, April 12, 2010 at 7:06AM And so I’m having my favorite breakfast… leftover pizza. LOL Hubby left for the airport at 4 o’clock this morning, and I’ve been down in the studio tinkering with the carriage wheels on my Millennium for the last two hours. I finally gave up and put a call into APQS support, as I can’t seem to get the darn thing adjusted right. It was okay, but I decided it needed some tweaking… and well it went downhill from there. Oops.
Speaking of APQS, rumor has it that on Friday this week they are announcing something big and exciting! Not a new machine, something else. I’m dying to know what it is!
I am so excited to share that I am finally getting to take a quilting class! After all these years of teaching myself, a real class! Woohoo! I was taking an EQ6 advanced class via Quilt University, and they always have you introduce yourself and say where you’re located, and someone else in the class is from HERE! We emailed, and I found out she gives classes at Hobby Lobby! I had no idea anyone gave classes there.
We’ll be doing a Texas Lonestar. I got in so late (class is this Thursday) that I had to express mail my supplies (ouch) and I’ll be stuck choosing fabrics from my stash, but I don’t care, I am excited!
And last but certainly not least, my HQ16 sold on Saturday!

Well, Happy Birthday, CJ! Hope you spend the whole day doing everything you like and having fun. Eat dessert first!
Hi CJ> glad you finally sold your HQ. I wanted it so badly but decided I'd rather have a machine I could use all the time instead of just for quilting. It was going to be REALLY crowded in my sewing room if I bought it and that's never fun. My dealer is offering incentives like crazy right now, so I'm going to go ahead and buy the 830. I'd psyched. If I get in a tight, I might be BEGGING for help. I love your videos on useage as they are so easy to understand. Please add more of them on some of your fav things it does. I'm first going to attempt those bags you love.

BTW, I forgot to add HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. hope you have a great one even though Jim is gone.
Happy Birthday CJ!! I hope you have a fabulous day (don't count the wheel woes). Congrats on selling the HQ16. :-)
Time for me to check out QU and learn something new.
Happy Birthday!
Yipeeee for classes
Yipeeee for hubby away
Yipeeee for selling machine.
Great day!
Happy Birthday CJ!!! Make sure you do fun things today!!!
Happy Birthday...many happy returns of the day!
Happy birthday, CJ! It sounds like it's shaping up to be a great year, with your first class coming up and the sale of your HQ16 finalized. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
Happy, happy birthday!
Pizza for breakfast--it's the best! And you'll get your Millie fixed up in no time--isn't it just the pits when we can't leave well enough alone?!? I do that, too. And finally, congrats on sellling the HQ! Now you'll have room and it will feel so spacious.
Happy Birthday CJ!!!
Sounds like a great start to the week. I was wondering yesterday if you had made the sell.
Happy Birthday! Hooray for class and sale! Enjoy these fun times!
Happy Birthday - now you are 29! Who is teaching the classes? I did not know they had quilting classes there. And congrats on selling you HQ16.
a Big Happy Birthday shout out
and many more
Happy, happy Birthday, CJ.
I've got a friend, Shannon Baker, who quilts professionally on an APQS millenium--she's been doing it for about 5 years.
Check her blog www.piecefulkwilter.blogspot.com and her website www.luckydogstitches.com
She's a full custom quilter but also does e2e.
She's started doing some teaching, too, and she can fix machines!
Glad you sold your HQ16

Happy birthday, CJ! Hope your day was filled with all kinds of wonderful reminders of your special day! :)
Happy B-day! I hope you enjoyed your day! CJ...do you have a pic that shows the set up of the patchwork seam guide with the 34 foot and also a pic of the above plus a piece of fabric that is also displayed? It just helps me to see how you set it up before I try it. TIA
Also, I'd love to see how to add binding to a scalloped edge of a quilt. I'm working on a quilt that has scallops on both ends and the two sides are straight. So after starting on the straight side, how do I connect the binding to the end with the scallop that has an angle that is larger than a right angle? Yikes! Can't find this info anywhere! Thanks again for your input and knowledge and your willingness to share!
I think the APQS news is on the website now.
Happy Birthday CJ! You are an inspiration to me with your awesome quilting abilities!
Thank you for all the encouragement you give everyone on the sewing quilting forum on Homesteading Today.
You, and, my Momma share the same birthday...both special people!
Marsha
Happy belated Birthday CJ!!
Belated Happy Birthday to you, CJ. For crazy me, the favorite part of my birthday is if hubby goes traveling - like your Jim did. Then - I can spend the entire day doing whatever I want, eatting whatever I want and sewing whatever I want - ALL DAY. Doesn't get much better than that.
BTW, what did they announce?
