Pinwheel Party Block Two
Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:27PM
I like these weekly blocks, I don’t lose interest so fast! I finished up block 2 this afternoon and also remade the first block, since I had my pinwheels all going the wrong direction… leave it to me!
I finally decided to brave a real quilt on the new APQS Millennium, and I’ll finish it up today, then get the binding on tomorrow. I’m a little worn out today from all the shoveling I did over the weekend.
I had originally planned to quilt this baby quilt with the sailboat pattern I have in my
collection, but decided the spacing on it was too large for the quilt, so I am doing all over swirls instead. This is a great pattern and looks really good on a lot of quilts that have an abundance of straight lines like this one.

The swirls are perfect. Wow, what is that that I see in the picture? A stylus? A handle? I can see the needle to the far right. The setup looks rather intimidating to me!!
Circles are very cool CJ. Is that a Circle Lord apparatus?
The quilt is beautiful. And from what I can see of the quilting, it looks great. What fun you are having!
You're already up to the second block done. I must get BUZY! I need to pick out fabrics first!
I do have some green plain here, and lots bits of tie died, or floral fabric. Probably floral fabrics, that's what the green was purchased for...
I was thinking cathedral windows of some type with it, and this will work just as nicely.
Love, love, love those swirls! And, I can't imagine you getting the pinwheels backwards. Makes me feel so normal to hear someone else besides me doing these things. And then admitting to it. :)
Quilts look great!
Have fun.

The circles are perfect for the graphic straight lines of the quilt! Is Millie computer driven?
