Hung!

My darling hubby headed out for New Orleans today. He’ll be gone for two weeks, but will be home next weekend between weeks, which will be nice. Before leaving, I had him hang the curtain rod for his office quilt, doesn’t it look great in there?
Some of you may remember, this space is actually the landing upstairs. There’s more too it than you can see in this picture, he has a big bookcase up here and a double filing cabinet as well. I “banished” Jim from the second upstairs bedroom shortly after we moved in, as one bedroom just wasn’t large enough for a sewing space for me… after all, he’s got a 42’ x 48’ shop all for his own use!
But I’m even beginning to encroach on his little office space… my AccuQuilt Studio cutter went out here, because
it wouldn’t fit in either of my sewing rooms. Does anyone hear the guilt creeping into my words?
Banished, invaded, and for two years, no decorations at all. So this weekend, I got started. This is “guy” space remember. But it’s totally “Created by CJ”! The pictures I took some years back, when all our dogs were still alive. You can’t see these very well, but they’re amazing shots! It took me forever to get them to each pose the way I wanted… and black German Shepherds are difficult to photograph because their fur reflects the light and gets lost on film.
The dog on the bottom right is Foehn, the mother to the other three. She was Jim’s “one in a million” dog, and I liked the thought of her looking up at her babies. Only Bellen (top upper left) is still alive, and she’s eleven this year.
Blue is Jim’s favorite color, and I crocheted this afghan for him some years ago. Perhaps I’ll get more done up here this year, so I can cozy it up more for him… that is, right up until I boot him out to the shop. hehehe

It's so "right" hanging there, CJ. You did good, girlfriend!!
Well, I don't know about the shop yet, but let's see:
First extra bedroom - CJ
Second extra bedroom - CJ
Kitchen - CJ
Double Car Garage - CJ
Upstairs landing - half CJ's

Did you ever read the book The Art of Racing in the Rain? OMG...what a great dog book!! And BTW, he'll never mind giving up his rooms as long as you keep cooking all that great food and baking bread!! LOL Polly
