I am so hooked!

OMG I can’t stop making these little bags, they are so addictive! By the way, before I forget, for those of you who asked, the checkbook covers will not fit in the Bernina mega hoop, but these bags in the large size (pictured) will.
I don’t know about the auto-splitting though, for those of you using an Artista machine, not sure if that will mess things up or not.
Oh and the other question I forgot to answer… yes I bind all my quilts by machine. If I ever get to the point where I want to make competition quilts, I will have to hire a binding expert to sew mine, because I haven’t a clue how to do them nor any desire to do them I don’t hand sew, period. Back in my twenties, I had a metal dumpster lid crash down on my right hand, breaking all the bones in it. It healed up okay, but I can’t grip anything for more than a few seconds.
I should probably stop sewing and consider cooking dinner. Or cleaning. Or all the other things I keep putting off. But dang… I want to make another one of these bags!

I like this one as much as the other one, CJ.
Why CJ, you always seem to be in such control and get everything done. Me on the other hand--If I want to sew, the housework, food, etc. gets put on hold -- unfortunately.
I love those bags and wish I had embroidery for my 440. I would love for you to post some information on how you do your binding by machine. I have tried the technique of sewing it onto the back and flipping it to the front for machine sewing. I never have much luck getting it to look good both front and back.
Did you decide anything on the straight stitch machine? I'm going to try out the Pfaff Grand Quilter this weekend. None of the ones I have seen have the dual feed you are after. Right now I'm leaning toward the Juki but have not been able to test drive it.
I see you bind by machine. Do you use the Bernina binding foot or do you have some other method? I have arthritis in my right thumb and it gets worse every day which means it's getting harder and harder to hold a needle to bind by hand. Thanks.
OKG! Those bags are just too cute! Man, you can really "cook" with that new Bernina, girl! Polly :-)
CJ, you're bags are just too adorable. I got a zippered bag design from digistitches.com and have made a bunch, but I like yours sew much better. I'm going to have to buy this one. I noticed that she says the design will fit in a jumbo hoop but not a multi-position hoop. I guess that means I can't do them in the mega-hoop?
I love how you personalized them. Is that little loop a purchased ribbon?

Eat a bowl of cereal, your husband isn't home. LOL!!!
Keep on stitching! I love to see you when you are on a roll like this.
CJ If you move the zipper down on the bag before you close the ends, you can add a cord to the back.. Make purse to wear around your neck for $$ and keys. Hand free shopping. I tried it love this...
CJ, I love your bags. Colors are great....
Very very nice. I have been hooked on making little bags and quilted pursed since last Christmas. I love them and think your pattern is great!!
Let's see: CJ, BJ........you forgot one.....CC..........and no, that's not for "carbon copy" ROFLOL
Absolutely love the little bags and your fabric selections are wonderful! Are the bags shown the ones that can be made in the 5×7 hoop? If I understand correctly, the larger designs can't be stitched in the mega hoop. I would like to try these out...they would make great gifts.
CJ,can i do these on my 730 or 630? Which hoop? Also, show your binding technique, please. Now to be nosy, why are you selling your 630? Are you down to using only the 830 and the Singer? I'm still wanting a longarm for personal use so the 830 is out of the question. I love those bags btw, just seem so easy. Hilary
