Hurray I won't be booted out!
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 1:25PM Remember that adorable turtle pin cushion pattern I bought to make for the guild pin cushion challenge tomorrow? Yep you guessed it, I didn’t get around to. Being the new kid on the block, I didn’t figure they’d take it too kindly if I showed up with all the projects I’ve made since the last meeting… things I felt like making, so here I am, less than a day away from needing a pin cushion!
ZippyDesignZ saved me again, with a cute little cupcake pincushion sewn in the hoop. Darling sure, but the itty bitty amount of hand stitching needed to close each layer of “frosting” were nearly more than my poor arthritic right hand could tolerate. I got it done though, woohoo!
Our little Hobby Lobby didn’t have the right silicone cupcake holders, but this one worked well enough.
Now I want to go back and try some more of those checkbook covers, and maybe some little makeup bags.

darling, darling, darling
And did you happen to have the cupcake "holder" at home?
I saw the cupcakes this morning. They are really cute. I bought a couple of rickracks and a boo boo teddy (so cute). You did a great job almost good enough to eat!
Oh, how cute is that??? Oh my goodness. I think I'll have to try one. Yesterday on embroidery library I spotted some in the hoop scissors cases that looked pretty cool. This in the hoop stuff is awesome.
P.S. I think there's something in the air--my hands, hips, and shoulders aren't happy with me. Must need to hot weather to loosen us up?
Too too cute.
I 'baked' a dozen of those guiltless cupcakes for Christmas presents. They were so much fun to make and I loved my friends' and families' reaction to them. Marilynne in the Fort
