Not quite twins...
Friday, March 12, 2010 at 7:23AM But I’m sure the boxes sitting downstairs by my front door are more “girls”. When my APQS Millennium arrived, I announced it saying “she’s a girl!” so I think the AccuQuilt Studio will have to be her fraternal twin!
I woke up with what feels like a touch of the flu bug, but I’m going to manage to unpack and set up the Studio regardless, LOL. I’ve already made myself a pot of chicken soup which will make me feel better I’m sure… I’m going to have some for breakfast!
I have a crazy batik project I’m going to try, it’s got inlaid circles which I’ve never done, so we’ll see how it turns out, but all the strip sets are made from one and a half inch strips. I thought I’d wait until the AccuQuilt arrived to cut them!
The project is from the book “Strips ‘n Curves” by Louisa L. Smith. I plan to try a wallhanging, for over my husbands desk. His office is all done in cherry wood, and I thought these fabrics would look great in there.
Another project that’s just kind of simmering on the back burner is an
embroidered baby quilt I’ve wanted to make for awhile. I still have to design a quilt layout for it that I like, but I stitched out a sample of one of the motifs for an idea. These are called “Fairytale Mice”… and I can’t recall where I bought them! If anyone recognizes the set, let me know and I’ll post the information here. I thought they were from Hatched in Africa… but I couldn’t find them on their website.

They are Fairytale Mice from Hatched in Africa. Really cute!
So did you open up those boxes and was it your Accuquilt? I want to see it. I'm hearing more and more good things about this new toy.
Love the mice. Hope you feel better soon! Don't overdo it today :-)
