A day for piecing!

Awhile back I posted asking how people store their fat quarters.  This morning I picked up more (I really didn’t think one person could own more of these plastic drawers than I have!) stacking plastic drawers, and these will work out just fine for me… only I didn’t buy enough of them!

I think three more should do it… for now.  I confess to having a mad love affair with fat quarters!

This morning I finished cutting out the fabrics for the baby quilt I’m making for one of Jim’s co-workers.  At least, I think I’m making it for him.  LOL  Jim accidentally spoiled the surprise, and so I told him since the cat was out of the bag to go ahead and see if they had any preferred colors, or theme planned for the baby.  If so, I’ll make this one and keep it as a backup (you never know when you need a baby quilt in a hurry!) and do another in their chosen colors.

I really should be working on that turtle pincushion, I have to have it done soon!

But today, I’m going to piece this little quilt!

What a cute quilt that will be! The bright colors make it so happy. Your block looks perfect to me. :-)

Do you wash the red fabrics first?

MIL made a quilt and never washed it. I washed it for her funeral display and the reds bled...who knew??? But SIL didn't notice or care and was glad to take it...not sewer.

I love this pattern.
