Kona cottons or...

Moda Bella solids?  Which do you prefer and why?

I have the color swatch charts for each, and I think more and more of my fabric stash is going to consist of solid colors, or marbles.  I find myself tiring of some of my prints too quickly.

I say that as we’re getting ready to head off for a day trip visit to a quilt shop over near the Oklahoma border, where I will most likely fall in love with all sorts of wild prints!

I finished a pair of pants yesterday and have a 2nd pair nearly finished, woohoo!

I have been meaning to visit that quilt shop for some time now. I found it on the internet when I was searching Arkansas quilt shop. I was always afraid I would be disappointed when I got there. Glad to know you got some good reviews. I can't wait to hear what you think about it. Have you been to the "Crooked Creek Quiltshop" in Greenwood. That is another I keep meaning to go to.

I really don't get tired of prints so much as I do a "color scheme". For years and years - and I mean YEARS - I was a blue person. Sheesh, even in our house before this one I had hubby install dark BLUE carpet.

Now - I'm totally earthtones. I started the color change before we moved up here and have continued my love of earthtones.

So in my life - and i'm old..LOL - I've had only TWO color schemes in the homes we've lived. So I guess I don't have enough years to change my colors again...LOL

Have fun today, CJ, hope you can take pics.

I definitely prefer Moda solids. I find the Kona solids are too thick and don't press flat. The quilt shop you visited looks great.
