Schnibbles Hat Trick

I finished my first little Schnibbles quilt today.  Honestly, I think I could have made a large quilt in the same amount of time this one took me, but it’s cute!

I decided to try some feathers on it today… definitely my weak spot when it comes to quilting, as you can see.  I do better free handing them than I do trying to follow them on a panto, as I did here, because you can’t really correct your mistakes from the back.

I didn’t have a plan for this little quilt until I saw it finished, and decided it was perfect for our coffee table, ugly feathers and all!

I can’t wait to try another “Schnibbles” quilt, but first I have to whip up a couple more pairs of slop around the house pants.  I’d like some of these small quilts as wallhangings in my sewing area.

Yum - not only does Chocolat taste good - it "looks" good. Very , very nice, CJ. And I have to say - the photo you shared of your living room is a beautiful shot - you did good girl! I don't have an eye for taking photos but I sure can appreciate yours.

Warm and cozy is what i see.

That quilt is so cute, CJ! I love making smaller pieces and am dreading making a new quilt for our bed. ;)

You asked earlier about fabric organization---this week's "Quilt Show" has a tour of Libby Lehman's sewing studio. Here's the link: http://www.thequiltshow.com/os/blog.php/blog_id/2399

It's interesting and very doable...
