I'm always the last one...

To discover nifty little gadgets, I suppose because I’m out here in the middle of nowhere, without a quilt shop or sewing machine dealer closer than two hours away!

I keep seeing these little miniature Clover irons, and to be honest, I thought they looked pretty gimmicky.  But I now have my ironing board setup in the other room, and while piecing all the little two inch blocks for a Schnibbles mini quilt I’m making out of scraps, I realized that just wasn’t going to work!

I went online, printed off a 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby, and ran into town and picked one up.  Wow!  It really works!  And it’s so convenient!  I bought one of the larger tips for it and I’m using it versus the smaller one that came with it.

My Schnibbles quilt, called “Hat Trick” would be a lot cuter had I gone through my scraps and selected better fabrics, but I wanted to use up more of the Moda Chocolat charm squares I had left, mostly paisleys and plaids now.

In my first picture, do you see all those little black dots around the edge of the photo?  Eep!  The sensor on my digital camera (Canon EOS 5D) was filthy, so I cleaned it with my sensor brush, but it didn’t come clean, so I used a bit of rubbing alcohol… and left debris all over the sensor.  I suppose I’m going to have to send it off to Canon for a professional cleaning, but what will I do without a camera for a month?

I'm sorry but ANYTHING made from chocolat is wonderful in my book. I still have a stash of it in a drawer.

I think I could make a litte money if I wanted to sell it but guess what?
No way!!

That Cindy has us all hooked on Schnibbles! I have one of those Clover irons in my closet (never been used!) so thanks for the idea--now I no longer have to regret purchasing it (but I did get it 40% off, too).

I love my Clover mini-iron. I don't know how I would do applique without it!

Thanks for posting about this little iron. I thought about getting one but was afraid it would work. My current projects has a bunch of 1-inch squares and that iron would sure be handy.
