Ack!

As this site of mine is rather new and not very well known, I was checking the search queries this morning to see what search terms folks have been using that bring them here. Guess what was the number one query this week?
“Simply Sophisticated BOM UGLY”!!! Apparently I wasn’t alone in my opinion! Because I already disliked the fabrics and layout of the quilt (for those of you that don’t know, this was a mystery quilt, blocks and fabrics were a surprise) I decided I
didn’t want to spend any additional money replacing the setting triangle fabrics, so I went ahead and used those that were supplied.
The panto is “Floriana” and is available at Willow Leaf Studios. I used King Tut variegated thread on top and the Bottom Line in the bobbin.
It’s finished now, and I will be taking it along to my next guild meeting so it can be donated for charity.
I seem to be on an ugly quilt roll. I have been trying to use up my vast supply of Moda Chocolat charm squares, but all I have left are the ugly ones for the most part. There were a few of the pretty floral ones left, and I thought I could squeeze one last little table runner or wall hanging out of them, so I’ve been busy chopping up the charm squares into two inch blocks. I am learning patience!
One more UFO done!

To put it nicely:
Another one bites the DUST!!
CJ, if you overdye it w/tan ritz dye, it would amaze you how much better it looked. I've seen that technique make the most disgusting quilts look fabulous./ It would improve it vastly and at least you wouldn't feel it was horrible to give to charity.

I love the panto! What is it called? I think I might have to add that to my ever growing panto collection! Sorry that I didn't get a picture of mine to you, it has been very dreary here the past couple of weeks and I could just never get a could shot of it. What did you put on the back of yours?
The quilting is beautiful! It really adds something to the quilt. Hey, it doesn't look too bad hanging outside! Someone will love it and be very thankful to receive it.
Sorry you dislike it so much. I think it's beautiful. Congats on finishing because now it will go on to benefit someone in need.
I think the quilt is pretty. Different tastes for different people. I guess.
It is a pretty quilt, even if it doesn't appeal to your tastes. Maybe just putting it together with fabrics you don't much like is the only problem. Personally, I like it. The lucky recipient will love it.
Ack! Too many busy prints so the design of the quilt is just a mish mash! Threr asre some nice fbrics in there though!
