Slowpoke!

Well I thought I would finish putting together my Schnibbles top today, but alas I am as slow as molasses lately!

This is all the progress I’ve made on it today.  And I haven’t been doing much else either!

I’m not sure why I keep making these.  They’re rather tedious with the small pieces, and yet as soon as I finish one I’m dying to start another one!  It’s all Cindy’s fault, she started posting pictures of hers and of course I had to tag along… belatedly for sure.

I made a very unflattering discovery today.  Back when I added my Bernina 630, I used it exclusively for embroidery the first year I had it, because I loved sewing on my 730.  Then when we moved into this house, I decided to swap them around… whoa!  I found out my piecing was much nicer on my 630.

This morning I pieced the first block on my 630, then the second one on my 830 with the dual feed engaged, both using the #57 foot.  I was shocked!  The first one was totally wonky, and the second one was perfect.  I didn’t realize that the dual feed was making such a drastic difference in the quality of my piecing.  I don’t normally make such teensy blocks, and I hadn’t ever really noticed (okay, maybe I just ignored it) that my blocks were off that much.

Have I mentioned lately how much I adore my Bernina 830?

Sure, go ahead, blame me...LOL

I love piecing on my 830 as well. You just cannot beat that Dual Feed. But I still find myself sewing on my 630 and 430 - love them too.

Ya know, I'm just one lucky girl - I feel like I have the best of Bernina.

BTW - YOUR colors are much nicer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just picked up my 830 today. I can't wait to try the dual feed.
My blocks need all the help they can get

Oh no!!! You've been bitten by the Schnibbles bug!!!!!

I have been fighting the Schnibbles fever but I know I will probably fall soon. I will blame Cindy too!

That Cindy is a Schnibbles "carrier" and we've all caught it! :-)

Aren't we blessed to have different machines? My Pfaff has the dual feed and I've always loved it. I've done some piecing on my 200/730 and it was okay, but right now I've been doing all those BOM's on my Brother ULT and I've been amazed at how accurate the blocks are! Glad I've got different machines to play with--sometimes I'm just in the mood for one over the other--with no rhyme or reason for it. :-)
