Oh boy!

It’s a Boy!The fabrics for my “Quilt for Kids” project arrived yesterday…. definitely “boy” colors and way outside my comfort zone, LOL!

I think I’ll probably run out to the truck and get my sunglasses to wear while I work on this!  What fun though, I have never used fabrics so bright!

I’m going to finish up the little Schnibbles “Picnic” quilt before I start on this, I hope to finish the top today, but all quilting is on hold until my new Millennium gets here, it should ship out either Friday or Monday.  I want to have plenty of projects to play with on it when it arrives.

I’ll be making some changes to my website over the next few months, while I familiarize myself with the machine, to include longarm quilting services.  I very much want to add the Intelliquilter to my setup, but that’s a big expense I’m not sure I can make pay for itself… I’d love some feedback on that if anyone has an opinion!

Do they supply the pattern as well?

CJ, These quilts are so fun. I have pieced 3 and have one quilted. I have 2 more a friend couldn't do of hers in gingham that she wants to send back so have those to do this weekend. I had 2 cats and one pirate. I did have to buy some fabric to bind them-just wasn't quite enough. Enjoy!!

Cindy, Yes the pattern is in it and a label. It's just a little 4 patch and they are only about 3 × 4'-simple and easy and a great cause.

As the Gma of three boys, I know they'd love the bright fabrics. You'll have fun with this, I know. I'll have to try this sometime. I've been under the weather this week and haven't gotten much done on my BOM quilt. It'll get done, though, eventually.

Hi CJ,

Yes, the IntelliQuilter is expensive, especially when starting out. You might want to consider the Circle Lord system instead. I am waiting for my Quilts for Kids fabric kit to arrive!
