And the best things in LIFE...

Can all be found right in my own home.  Family, good food, killer sewing machines, fabric and thread.  I’m a happy camper!

I got a bit sidetracked today… I meant to do more bookmarks, and some more cosmetic bags/pouches/whatever you want to call them, but decided to make some free standing lace snowflakes.  I was just going to make a few and stick them on my Christmas presents along with the bows… but things got out of hand and now I’ve had both machines tied up all day making them for my Christmas tree!

Aren’t they pretty?  I’ve done six of this particular snowflake, it’s my favorite, but just started a couple of others.  They sewed out beautifully, and were cheapies from Embroidery Library!

Dueling (banjos) embroidery machines. :)

I love these...I made a bunch of those and I think I gave them all away. Guess where I'm headed???

I love it. I usually have 2 going at once, it makes me feel productive. I made a lace ornament for each of my co workers.

Love them. I think you already know I keep two embroidery machines going at once quite often. Ooh, the luxury of two.

I just love those. Is there a web site that shows you how to do them?

I've got the same designs, and I've made dozens. I always intend on having enough to decorate my tree just with FSL, but then I end up giving a bunch away each year! I end up increasing my own ornament stash by only 4 or 5 each year! I have to admit they make great little extras to stick in cards or tie on a package.

CJ, I made snowflakes as gifts for my Quilts of Valor group and they loved them. Some years, I make them for my granddaughter's teachers for Christmas (this year we decorated candles instead). What pattern do you use for your little bags? They are so cute!

CJ,

The snowflakes are lovely. Would you mind sharing what thread you use?

I don't use my embroidery module nearly enough!

I've made tons of those same ones, and do I have even one on my tree? No, I've given them all away. I need to make some for us. I love doing lace, and especially that there are no thread changes. :-)

Gee! They're a bit bigger than the real ones coming down outside right now... :-) Very pretty, CJ!!
