Oops...

I posted my recipe for chocolate date nut bread.  I haven’t got the Tuscan potato soup recipe typed up yet, but I haven’t forgotten!

This morning I got Jim’s bathrobe cut out.  Did I mention that I have somehow managed to lose my original pattern, and had to order another one?  I love Kwik Sew’s 3266, View B.  It’s a wonderful pattern, 90% done on the serger, and I have the same pattern in women’s for myself.

Alas, after I finished cutting it out, I realized I’d forgotten to lengthen the pattern, it’s already altered on the old one.  He’ll wear it because I made it for him, but I’m going to have to get more fabric and make him another… and tell him he can use this one when’s he traveling I guess… bummer!

I took out some pork cutlets for dinner tonight, and will be making my recipe with port and cherries. I’m out of propane for the grill, which has really put a crimp in my cooking!  My fault, I forgot to close the valve last time I used it.

Jim will sadly be leaving for New Orleans alone on Sunday, as I will not be able to go with him wth my foot in the brace.  We’d have to take the dogs, and I would have to walk them… I can already visualize the broken arm as I try and get down the RV steps with two dogs in hand… I’ll pass!  Not to mention walking them!

I can't remember if you have gas (anything) in your house. In our CA house, we had a gas line put in for the BBQ. It was an easy do because we have a gas water heater about 6 feet away. Our handy guy just tapped into the line and drilled through the wall. It has a shut off valve and cap for when it is not in use. Of course you need to have a BBQ that can use natural gas. It is wonderful not having to worry about getting the tank filled like we do here in Phoenix.

CJ, How much flour in the chocolate date nut bread? It wasn't listed in the ingredients. I've made a flour-less chocolate cake before, but I'm thinking this isn't the case here. Thanks. Diane
