Design Wall Monday

The log cabin is coming along.  I’m on row eight of twelve, and I’m sewing all the blocks together as I go, but the rows aren’t sewn together yet.  I may do that today as I’ve about run out of floor space and need to be able to move the darn thing, it is going to be huge!

I really want to make another one of these right a way out of my scraps, but I have other projects that need to be done first.  Now I’m not real keen on exerting discipline when it comes to my craft, it rather takes all the fun right out of it!  However… sometimes you just have to put on your big girl panties and suck it up!

There’s a pair of pants hanging off my sewing chair that need to be hemmed and the legs need to be narrowed… I dislike alterations, ugh!  But I hate going naked more, so I guess I will do them soon!

If my dishwasher arrives early enough on the truck today, the appliance shop will be out to install it.  Yay!  If not, it’ll be tomorrow.

Head on over to Judy’s to see what everyone else is up to this design wall Monday!

While you're hemming the pants hanging over the chair, would you mind hemming the ones I have folded up in a shopping bag? I would really like to wear them before my weight changes and they don't fit.

Isn't it funny when you are working on one project and inspired to start another one?!

I love it! I really like how you can work on one project until it's done.

I love your log cabin quilt. This is one of my all time favorite blocks. It does look like its going to be nice and big.

Focus can be a good thing! It's my watchword of the week. I know I couldn't keep it up for a whole month...:)

CJ, It's going to be beautiful. I've been on my own internet hiatus--not self imposed, my computer has been ill--fixed for now. But I did accomplish some items for my church that had been calling to me, so I guess that I need to limit my on-line time. Thanks for the reminder. Diane in CT

Beautiful quilt. And, ug, I hate alterations. And I hate hemming the most. But I am short and no matter how much weight I lose, the pants are still too long. I feel your pain.

LOVE the logcabin, great fabrics. I hate when I have to put on the big girl pants- i'd rather stamp my foot and do what I want.

Love the colors in the Log Cabin. My eyes draw to the brown palette but I don't think I've made a quilt like that -- yet.
