Lots of fun!
Friday, November 5, 2010 at 5:01AM I had my quilt group last night, and while only six of us showed up… I think everyone else is in Houston at the quilt show… there were lots of quilts!
I always love to see what everyone is working on!
The coneflowers are going to be the back side of this purple and orange quilt, cool eh?
I’m not sure how you would quilt this to compliment both sides… even if I did custom quilting, I’m pretty sure I’d do an all over on this one.
The next two pictures are from the same gal, also a front and back. This one had already been quilted with a large meander all over.
And finally, Karen’s incredible hand work.
Is that Christmas quilt the most gorgeous work of art ever? I could have sat there and petted it all night long, beautiful

Isn't it fun to get together? I just joined a new Bee in our area and there are 8 of us meeting every other Monday. It's so fun and we are learning from each other. We meet in our homes. Where did you host? It looked huge. How many are in your quilt group? There's some great talent among you all. Karen's quilt was gorgeous. I envy that kind of patience, I worked on a long project (350+) hours several years ago and I was brain dead when I was done. I really didn't enjoy that much intensity. I rather like doing projects that can keep it fun.
Show 'n Tell is the best part of any quilt group meeting. I always want to see what everyone else has been working on.
Can you send me a pix of my star quilt plez ? My camera didn't seem to take it for some reason ... thanx ! I've got everyone else's tho' ...
had fun last night - I couldn't believe how many quilts we had for so few of us meeting!

Thanks for sharing your quilt guild photos. Being an applique addict, I especially enjoyed the Christmas quilt. It is very lovely.
Wow! Really pretty quilts... I love the coneflowers best...but that is the back???? Now I have a question for you. You do long arm quilting for cutomers, right? Was it hard to quilt the first one for someone else? I would be terrified of ruining someone else's quilt... did that thought cross your mind? I am hoping...praying....wishing...to retire from my teaching job this summer and am wondering if I have the guts to do longarm quilting for money... any thoughts to share with a scaredycat?
You gals sure did have a lot of quilts. And they are all beautiful. And Karen's Christmas quilt is just fabulous. Such patience she has.
