Favorite things
Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:59AM Maybe because it’s January and a new year that had me looking around at projects I’ve made in the last few years. Many were given away, made for other people, some were even trashed. But there are three little quilts I made about 3 years ago that have remained my very favorites!
They’re not perfect, far from it. I was still fairly new at both quilting and embroidery (heck, I still am realistically!) but I just love these.
Two of them are squares, and I made them as antimacassars for the RV chairs. The other one is a rectangle and was used on the dining table in the RV.
Now the rectangle is playing antimacassar to a chair in our living room, and the two
square ones grace the top the of washer and dryer. (Excuse my laundry room, it’s cramped and always a mess.)
Oh… that’s my grain grinder on the counter by the washing machine. Huge isn’t it?

Ditto on the "remained my favorites". Of course, it must be Chocolat from Moda.
BUT - has it REALLY been three years?
At least.. if not 4. We'll have been in the house 2 years in April. I know I had those for at least a year in the RV.
I love those same things and remember when you made them. I'm with Cindy--how can it be that long?? I can't believe how long I've been reading your blog. Now I just have to remember that you have two! :-)
What a great idea to put small quilts on top of the washer and dryer. Uh, oh ..... another project!
OK. Great idea for the charm packs I keep collecting. I've got the charm squares, need to look back to see if these are still on your web site when you made them. Doesn't seem all that long ago. Find some embroidery to go with, maybe some 'fancy pants quilting' designs. So is that is what those things on the back of chairs are called "antimacassar".
Pam, I moved my blog from Squarespace over to Wordpress a bit over a year ago, and everything prior to that was lost so it won't be on either blog.
