Quilting is my passion…chocolate comes in a close second.

Hello everyone!  My name is CJ and I’m a sewaholic!  I enjoy quilting, machine embroidery, home decor, and dabbling in garment sewing.  Some of you may know me as “the wandering quilter” as I spent several years full-time in an RV with my darling husband, and did quite a bit of sewing on the road.

Here’s a picture of my sewing setup while we lived in our RV.  I kept my Bernina 630 set up for embroidery on the built in desk area over by the TV.  My Bernina 730 was set up for sewing on a Sew-Ezi table… best invention for RV sewers!

And here are some pictures of my sewing areas in our home.  I’m scattered throughout the house, having two upstairs bedrooms and then my APQS Millennium resides downstairs in the attached garage, which doubles as my longarm studio.

This is my main sewing room.  It houses my computer, which is an iMac.  I run all my sewing software on it via Windows 7 running on Parallels 5.  Bernina Designer Plus V6, Electric Quilt 6, and Bernina My Label.

My Bernina 830 resides is this room, and my cutting table.  My embroidery threads are in the Iris carts next to my sewing machine.  The pegboard on the wall holds all my rulers, embroidery hoops and scissors.

I added one of those nifty little Clover irons, so I can press my blocks and small seams while I’m sewing without having to go to the other room where my ironing board is set up.  It sits on my sewing machine cabinet off to the left.

I keep my scraps sorted by color in plastic bins beneath my cutting table.  They’re waiting for someone to come organize them!

My “stash” is kept in the closet in this sewing room, on mini bolts.  I’ve run out of room though, I need another solution.

The 2nd bedroom houses my Bernina 630, Bernina 1300MDC serger, Babylock BLCS coverstitch machine, quilting books, and my ironing board.

Downstairs, our finished garage doubles as my quilting area and darn it, the extended pantry.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour!
